An internal valve inside each one of the T304 stainless steel mufflers controls how the exhaust routes through or around the muffler core. In closed mode, exhaust routes through the muffler past a resonance chamber that removes unwanted frequencies and droning to deliver a pleasant sound that won’t offend sensitive ears. In the open mode, unmuffled exhaust is sent straight to the atmosphere, delivering the raw and guttural engine sounds you normally only hear at a racetrack.
The Valvetronic Designs Valved Muffler Kits use a control box that operates the muffler valves using vacuum, which is proven to be more reliable and longer lasting than the electric solenoids used in other systems. The control box uses a 12V adapter that plugs into the vehicle’s cigarette lighter/auxiliary power outlet, and you control the system via the included remote fob.
