VALVETRONIC DESIGNS WARRANTY & RETURN POLICY

1. Limited Warranty Overview

All products manufactured by Valvetronic Designs are guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship at the time of sale.

A manufacturing defect is defined as any characteristic of the product that arises during the manufacturing process and impairs its usability for the purposes for which it was designed and manufactured.

Valvetronic Designs products are guaranteed to fit and function as designed for their intended vehicle applications, provided the vehicle has not been modified or incurred structural damage.

Sound and Tone Disclaimer: Exhaust sound and tone are subjective characteristics and are not considered warrantable defects. Dissatisfaction with the sound or tone of an exhaust system does not qualify as grounds for warranty coverage or return.

Warranty coverage begins on the original date of purchase and applies exclusively to the original purchaser. All warranties are non-transferable and may not be assigned to another party.

Valvetronic Designs reserves the right to evaluate warranty claims to determine whether the reported condition qualifies as a manufacturing defect under this policy.

4. Professional Installation and Thermal Protection

All Valvetronic Designs exhaust systems must be installed in accordance with applicable product instructions by a qualified automotive professional familiar with high-performance exhaust systems.

The installer is responsible for verifying:

  • Proper exhaust alignment and positioning

  • Correct mounting and secure installation

  • Appropriate exhaust outlet positioning

  • Adequate clearance from surrounding vehicle components

  • Proper installation and retention of all required heat shields

  • Correct placement of thermal barriers, brackets, and other protective equipment

Important Safety Requirement

No vehicle should be operated with an exhaust system that contacts surrounding components, directs excessive heat toward vulnerable components, or otherwise creates an unsafe thermal condition.

If additional thermal protection is required due to the vehicle's configuration or installation, the installer must contact Valvetronic Designs for guidance before operating the vehicle.

5. Vehicle Modifications and Operating Conditions

Modifications to a vehicle may significantly affect exhaust temperatures, exhaust flow, and thermal exposure.

These modifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Engine tuning or ECU modifications

  • Catalytic converter changes

  • Aftermarket headers

  • Forced-induction system modifications

  • Exhaust configuration changes

  • Vehicle bodywork modifications

  • Changes to factory-installed thermal protection

Valvetronic Designs does not warrant compatibility with vehicle modifications or configurations outside those expressly identified as supported in the applicable product documentation.

Customers and installers are responsible for confirming that the exhaust system is suitable for the vehicle's configuration and operating conditions.

6. Inspection and Discontinuation of Use

Customers and installers must inspect the exhaust installation before initial operation and periodically thereafter.

Additional inspections should be performed following:

  • Vehicle service or maintenance

  • Modifications to the exhaust system or surrounding components

  • Vehicle impacts or contact with road obstacles

  • Any indication of abnormal heat exposure

If any of the following conditions occur, vehicle operation must be discontinued as soon as it is safe to do so:

  • Unusual or excessive heat

  • Smoke

  • Burning odors

  • Melting of surrounding components

  • Deformation of vehicle components

  • Other indications of unsafe exhaust operation

A qualified automotive professional must inspect the vehicle and exhaust installation before further use.

  • Bumpers

  • Diffusers

The customer further acknowledges the importance of:

  • Proper professional installation

  • Maintaining adequate clearance from surrounding components

  • Appropriate thermal shielding

  • Ongoing inspection and maintenance

  • Discontinuing vehicle operation when unsafe conditions are identified

These provisions supplement the applicable limited warranty and do not diminish any non-waivable consumer rights or statutory remedies.

8.1 Rights Under State Law

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Warranty terms and available remedies may differ depending on applicable state laws. Certain exclusions or limitations of incidental or consequential damages may not apply in some jurisdictions.
