Overview

When the 991.1 generation 911 was replaced by the 991.2, Porsche added twin turbos that muted much of the drama and emotion from the exhaust note. At Valvetronic Designs, we believe sound is the foundation of driving passion—and our exhaust package restores the raw emotion your Carrera deserves.

Sound Dynamics

  • Valves Open – Exhaust gases flow almost completely unrestricted. After passing through the turbos, the system channels them through our valved muffler, into a large X-pipe, and out the tips. The result is an extremely raw, motorsport-inspired tone that reconnects the 991.2 to Porsche’s naturally aspirated roots.

  • Valves Closed – Sound is routed through dual quad-chamber mufflers, significantly reducing volume for quiet cruising, early mornings, and long drives.

  • Upgraded Exhaust Manifolds – Regardless of configuration, our CAD-designed and CFD-tested manifolds increase exhaust pitch and bring back the signature emotion missing from the stock 3.0TT setup.

Warranty Coverage

All products manufactured by Valvetronic Designs are guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship at the time of sale. A manufacturing defect is defined as any characteristic of the product that arises during the manufacturing process which impairs its usability for the purposes for which it was designed and manufactured.

Products are guaranteed to fit and function as designed on their intended vehicle application, provided the vehicle has not been modified or incurred structural damage. Sound or tone is not a warrantable or returnable issue, as exhaust sound is subjective and not considered a defect.

Warranty Periods

  • 304 stainless steel and titanium exhaust tubes and welds carry a Lifetime of Ownership limited warranty against defects in workmanship or material, including penetrating rust.
  • Mufflers and resonators carry a 3-year limited warranty against defects in workmanship or material, including penetrating rust.
  • Catalysts are warranted to conform to EPA emission testing and OBDII compatibility criteria for 25,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.
  • Catalytic converter external shells, including end pipes, are warranted against corrosion and defective welding for 5 years or 50,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.
  • Vacuum pots, electronic remotes, and mechanical valves are covered by a 1-year limited warranty.
  • Electronics, including 12V vacuum pumps, RF modules, and controllers, are covered by a 1-year limited warranty.
  • Tip finish is covered by a 1-year limited warranty.

"I got this for my 991. 2 GTS. It sounds alright overall, nothing crazy, nothing over-the-top. Doesn't drone too bad at 80 MPH, considering this setup has no cats. One minor hiccup was that Valvetronic made the side elbow pipes a little too long. My mechanic needed to shave off about a centimeter on both sides to get it to fit. Valvetronic reimbursed me for this misstep, and they were easy to contact and responded quickly. One other minor hiccup was that the exhaust tips were ever slightly too big; one of them touch the plastic rear diffuser when installed. Valvetronic agreed to send me a replacement (that was smaller diameter) free of charge. Overall, great customer service. The sound itself I'd describe as louder than OEM, but not the absolute best. Personally I like the Kline Inconel exhaust a lot more, but for $6000, this setup is solid. From the inside you get a nice induction noise that is more pronounced on acceleration, and the tone of the exhaust is brought out. From the outside, the turbo spool is louder (which I don't prefer, but that's what you get when you go catless on this platform). You're going to want to tune out your pops and cracks in Sport Mode though. They get obnoxiously loud, like a BMW crackle tune that the kids get. Quality of the exhaust itself was alright, I thought the welds could be better, specifically on the titanium muffler. I've ordered their E46 exhaust system in the past and recall the build quality of that exhaust to be tighter, and overall better quality."

Hi, Is this the complete system at 5999€? Is there a closed valve drone? Is it possible to ship it to France? Sportivement .
It is $5999 for the full system! There is no drone with valves closed, and we ship to France!
I live in California…will I pass smog with the headers?
The headers are before the turbocharger, technically yes you will still pass if this is the only modification. If you have the full system installed you will not as it is free flow. With just the catback you will pass
