Returns, refunds, shipping, warranty information

Valvetronic Designs wants you as a happy customer - let’s work together to get any issues resolved!  Please note these key points before proceeding with any claim:

 

    • Start at the original place of purchase. 100% of claims start with the original place of purchase, and all refunds, if granted, are through the original place of purchase. Call them first.
    • If you remove, we can not approve. If a product issue is discovered after installation, do not remove the product before receiving confirmation of a return approval from the original place of purchase. On-car information can often lead to diagnosis and action plans; Valvetronic Designs requires a chance to address in this manner. Post-install products removed prior to return authorization will be denied any warranty claim.
    • All warranties are for the original owner only. Second owners can purchase replacement components if needed.
    • If you are a dealer or bought through VALVETRONIC DESIGNS directly, fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
    • Orders or parts of orders canceled more than 48 hours after placement will be assessed a 20% raw-materials allocation fee. This applies to all exhaust systems. If a special operations exhaust is ordered and it is not in stock, please allow for 8 to 12 weeks for it to be manufactured for you. 
    • An order can not be canceled once it has shipped.

 

Valvetronic Designs sources parts from USA and other countries to craft our custom made "Special Operations Exhaust Systems". Valvetronic Designs incurs material and shipping costs from Domestic and International suppliers as soon as customers place orders.

RETURN WINDOW LASTS FOR 30 DAYS FROM THE DELIVERY DATE. AFTER THIS TIME PERIOD HAS ELAPSED NO RETURNS WILL BE GRANTED.

 

Issuing of refunds

 

All approved refunds will be handled by the original place of purchase, no exceptions. Since payments were made to the original place of purchase, any refunds must come from the same place. Please note that approved returns must be received at Valvetronic Designs HQ within thirty (30) days of approval of return to receive credit.

 

Discontinued products

 

In the event that a warranty claim is approved by Valvetronic Designs on a product that has been discontinued, Valvetronic Designs will pay to have the repair made to the product if it is deemed repairable. At Valvetronic Designs’ sole discretion and if applicable, a substitution of a comparable product may be granted should a repair not be deemed possible.

 

Warranty against manufacturer defects by product class

 

Manufacturer defect is defined as any characteristic of the product which hinders its usability for the purpose for which it was designed and manufactured. The warranty against manufacturer defects doesn’t cover any cosmetic changes, or normal use wear and tear. All warranties cease at a product’s discontinuance. Here’s a quick summary of our products and how long each is covered for manufacturer defects:

 

Covered

All Valvetronic Designs brand products. Please note that special order items are not returnable. **Used, pre-owned, special order or prototype products for sale have no warranty unless explicitly stated in page content**

 

Hardware and Gaskets are EXCLUDED

 

 

Condition of system

In the event of a return, a product must be returned with no signs of abuse, incorrect installation, forced installation, motorsports usage, or product altering whatsoever. Any trace of the aforementioned will result in warranty denial.

 

Action

Upon verification of warranty coverage, VALVETRONIC DESIGNS will, at its sole option, repair, , consult toward remedy or issue a refund for the defective product.

 

Warrantied Replacement Parts & Systems
If a part or whole system is issued as a replacement, the purchaser has 30 days to return the original part or unit back to us. If not received after 30 days, the purchaser is responsible for the cost of both items.  

 

Labor

Labor for original installation, removal, and subsequent installation/inspection not covered.

 

Shipping

If a claim is determined by VALVETRONIC DESIGNS at its sole discretion to be a manufacturer defect, VALVETRONIC DESIGNS will cover two-way shipping to VALVETRONIC DESIGNS either from consumer or dealer and back to either consumer or dealer. VALVETRONIC DESIGNS may also request a “Destroy in Field” of any defective parts.

 

Restocking

No restocking fee for Manufacturer Defect.

 

Exclusions

In all cases, VALVETRONIC DESIGNS must be afforded the opportunity to remedy the situation before the removal of the product from the vehicle. Installations deemed errant VALVETRONIC DESIGNS will result in denied claims. Any evidence of abuse whether it be with the use of flame tuned or use of the product in motorsports or racing conditions is grounds for warranty denial. Warranties will be voided if the product is improperly serviced, modified, or used in a way not intended by the Manufacturer. The Consumer is responsible for ensuring that the product is installed in a safe and proper manner, and should cease use of the product immediately if an unsafe or improper condition is noted. If an unsafe or improper condition is noted, the Consumer should then immediately contact the facility where the product was purchased.

 

Tip Finish

VALVETRONIC DESIGNS's Thirty Day Tip Finish Warranty covers defects on VALVETRONIC DESIGNS tips for a period of one year from the purchase date. Exclusions to the VALVETRONIC DESIGNS One Year Tip Finish Warranty: (1) Pinhole sized pitting on the inside of tips, which is considered normal wear and tear, and (2) Blemishes or marring of appearance due to weather, road hazards, lack of maintenance (defined in next sentence) or extremes of heat or cold. Thorough periodic cleaning of VALVETRONIC DESIGNS tips is required as general maintenance, and must be done prior to submitting a warranty claim on tips, as returned tips found to have been dirty (and not defective) will have forfeited any core charges. 

 

Product Warranty

 

1 year:

Valvetronic Designs Universal Valved Muffler Kits come with a 1 year warranty from purchase date. This warranty covers the vacuum control box and muffler. No external wires hoses or attachments are covered under this warranty. Indisputable photo and video evidence must be provided in an order issues claim in the case of a universal muffler kit failure.

 RACE CONFIGURATION:

Race configurations of exhaust components, may cause a check engine light to appear while operating the motor vehicle. This is not a fault of the exhaust system, merely your vehicle responding to the change it back pressure of the system. We highly recommend a tune, or other software in order to allow the vehicle to run at its maximum potential having the race configuration installed. Owner and operator is responsible from modifications of this type.  

 

SHIPPING POLICIES:

At Valvetronic Designs], we aim to provide excellent service and transparency regarding our shipping process. Please review the following important information about your order and delivery responsibilities.

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

We partner with third-party fulfillment centers to process and ship your orders. Once your package is handed over to the carrier, our responsibility ends. Delivery times vary based on the carrier and your location.

Customer Responsibility

It’s important that you ensure someone is available to receive the package or that it is delivered to a secure location. Here are some tips to protect your package:

  1. Track Your Package: Use the tracking number provided to monitor your shipment.
  2. Secure Delivery Location: Consider having your order shipped to a secure location (e.g., work address, local pickup point).
  3. Special Instructions: Add delivery instructions at checkout (e.g., "Leave at back door").

Package Theft

 

 

At Valvetronic Designs, we strive to provide exceptional service and ensure that your shopping experience is as seamless as possible. However, we are not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after they have been marked as delivered by the carrier.

Please review the following important details regarding our policy on stolen packages:

  1. Shipping Without Signature Requirement: Items may be shipped without requiring a signature upon delivery. This means that the carrier will leave the package at your doorstep, mailbox, or another designated delivery location without obtaining your acknowledgment of receipt.

  2. Coordinate with Carrier: We highly recommend coordinating with the carrier to ensure you are present at the time of delivery. If you're unable to be at home, consider using alternate delivery options such as having your package delivered to a secure location, a neighbor, or a carrier access point (e.g., a local pick-up center or locker).

  3. Carrier Confirmation and Evidence: Once your package is confirmed as delivered by the carrier, we are unable to assist with claims for lost or stolen packages. If the carrier provides photographic evidence of the delivery (e.g., a photo showing the package at your doorstep or mailbox), we will consider the item successfully delivered and will not be liable for any further action.

  4. Your Responsibility: By completing your purchase and accepting these terms, you acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring the safe receipt of your package once it has been marked as delivered. We strongly encourage you to monitor your package's tracking information and take the necessary precautions to ensure it is securely received.

  5. Next Steps if Package is Missing: If your package is missing, please first contact the carrier directly to report the issue and file a claim with them. The carrier will be the best resource for investigating and resolving any delivery issues. Please also file a police report with your local authorities.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with our policy. Our goal is to provide a smooth and efficient shopping experience, and we encourage you to take proactive measures to protect your delivery.

 

Valvetronic Designs reserves the right to charge a shipping and handling fee on every order being shipped from our facility. This fee is universal and applies to all retail and wholesale purchases and cannot be waived or credited. Additionally, all international shipments are sent without prepaid duties or taxes, additional costs may incur to clear the package from customs.

Shipping Damages (WHAT TO DO?)

Valvetronic Designs cannot be held liable for refusal of, delay of, loss of, theft or damage to a shipment of any item. The customer agrees to indemnify Valvetronic Designs for all costs, fees and expenses Valvetronic Designs incurs as a result of any violation of any local, state, federal, national or international laws or regulations. Customer agrees to take responsibility for lost packages that were not independently insured or sent without requiring signature. The customer understands they will be liable in the event of additional fees, tariffs, or legal issues such as border seizure. Customer accepts these risks and agrees to release Valvetronic Designs of all liability. All packages are sent without a signature unless requested. 

Extreme care goes into the handling and packaging of each Valvetronic Designs product. All packages are shipped with the appropriate amount of insurance and packing material. If package appears damaged on arrival, state the damaged condition and have the driver acknowledge the damage condition as well. In the case that products appear damaged after opening, contact the carrier immediately. Save all packaging for the claim inspection.

 

IF AN ITEM IS DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

Please submit:

10 photos of the exterior of the box showing the damage for all angles

10 photos of the interior of the box with all contents inside

10 photos of the interior of the box with all components removed from the box

 

Please send these images to us on our support page, we will then open a claim with the carrier. This is the ONLY way we can process a shipping claim. Without pictures of the damaged area we will not be able to get the carrier to refund you so please be detailed. Any funds returned from the carrier will be transferred to you in form of a refund to your original payment method. Proceed with the installation as normal, If the outlets are damaged, have your installer expand the pipes in order to resolve this issue. Our goal with this process is for you to install your system as normal and we will work with the carrier to get you your refund. We can not assist if we do not receive accurate documentation of the issue as the item arrives to you.

Applicable to all warranties

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH WITHIN, VALVETRONIC DESIGNS MAKES NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO ANY MATTER WHATSOEVER INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.  IN NO EVENT SHALL VALVETRONIC DESIGNS BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES HOWEVER CAUSED, ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, AND WHETHER OR NOT VALVETRONIC DESIGNS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.   The warranties listed herein are the only remedy the Consumer or Dealer has for any loss or damage, however arising, due to nonconformity in or defect of the product. This warranty does not cover consequential damage, loss of time or revenues, labor, inconvenience, loss of use of vehicle (including rental vehicle fees), shipping, damage to the vehicle or components, or other incidental or indirect damage. VALVETRONIC DESIGNS’s sole liability on any claim of any kind, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, for any loss or damage arising out of, connected with, or resulting from the manufacture, sale, delivery or use of the products sold hereunder shall in no case exceed the amount actually paid to VALVETRONIC DESIGNS for the applicable product.  These limitations shall apply notwithstanding any failure of essential purpose of any limited remedy.

 

Issuing of refunds

Dealer responsibility as it pertains to warranties and guarantees:

Every dealer or distributor must understand and uphold any and all requirements as they pertain to refunds and honor all guarantees including but not limited to Fitment Guarantees, Sound Satisfaction Guarantees, and other warranties and guarantees as published with product information and on the VALVETRONIC DESIGNS website. Dealers and distributors will handle all refunds to customers and consumers as approved by VALVETRONIC DESIGNS. All warranties are explained below and may change from time to time. All warranty claims or returns must be routed through the support section of the VALVETRONIC DESIGNS website.

 

ORDER EXCHANGE:

In the case an exchange is needed, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ship back the product in exchange for the proper components.

Example: 

  • Ordered a 2.5 muffler kit but need 3.0
  • Please reach out via email and confirm the exchange
  • You will be required to reorder the product.
  • Once reordered ship the original shipment back to us for a refund
  • We will ship out your new order in the meantime

We can NOT exchange product unless another order is opened.

  

PARTIAL RETURNS:

Partial returns are not granted. You are responsible for confirming the product you ordered are the correct ones for your vehicle.

Example:

 

Ordered 2 muffler kit and 2 tips but only need 1 muffler

 

We are not able to process returns for partial kits, no exceptions

  

Fitment issues:

If you receive a product that does not fit properly here are the steps:

  1. Take a MINIMUM of 10 Photos of the issues and 1 video.
  2. Upload this information to the form below (please allow for 24-48hr response)
  3. Email customerservice@valvetronic.com and relay the issues you are having
  4. From there we will assist you in the process

 

 If there is a fitment issues with a product please conclude the install immediately. Once the exhaust is heat cycled it is not able to be returned or exchanged as it is a used item. If the item you ordered is unable to be easily replaced Valvetronic Designs will cover the costs of modifications. This process is at the sole discretion of Valvetronic Designs.

 

 If the item is a special operations product and another unit is not in stock, we will assist in the modification process to repair the exhaust. This way we are able to assist you get your car back on the road sounding as it always should have.

 

 

If a replacement unit is available, we will ship you a replacement and a return label to get the original damaged product back. If the original product is not shipped back Valvetronic Designs reserves the right to charge for the additional product.

 

IF A SYSTEM THAT IS DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE IS INSTALLED AND THE SYSTEM IS HEAT CYCLED WE ARE UNABLE TO PROCESS A RETURN OR REPLACEMENT.

 

PRODUCT DISCOUNTS:

 If your order has been placed within 24 hours and a sale goes live on the product you have ordered you are able to reorder the product and cancel your original. Customers MUST contact the Valvetronic Designs Customer Service team to make us aware of their intentions.
