The 992 GT3/RS brought a completely new exhaust layout compared to the 997 and 991 platforms, demanding a ground-up redesign of our proven sport system.

This system integrates seamlessly with the factory electronic valve motors and features our signature large cross-section X-pipe, delivering the iconic screaming RSR sound. The result: maximum emotion, maximum engagement, and maximum enjoyment—all the way to the 9,000 RPM redline.

All products manufactured by Valvetronic Designs are guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship at the time of sale. A manufacturing defect is defined as any characteristic of the product that arises during the manufacturing process which impairs its usability for the purposes for which it was designed and manufactured.

Products are guaranteed to fit and function as designed on their intended vehicle application, provided the vehicle has not been modified or incurred structural damage. Sound or tone is not a warrantable or returnable issue, as exhaust sound is subjective and not considered a defect.

Warranty Periods

  • 304 stainless steel and titanium exhaust tubes and welds carry a Lifetime of Ownership limited warranty against defects in workmanship or material, including penetrating rust.
  • Mufflers and resonators carry a 3-year limited warranty against defects in workmanship or material, including penetrating rust.
  • Catalysts are warranted to conform to EPA emission testing and OBDII compatibility criteria for 25,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.
  • Catalytic converter external shells, including end pipes, are warranted against corrosion and defective welding for 5 years or 50,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.
  • Vacuum pots, electronic remotes, and mechanical valves are covered by a 1-year limited warranty.
  • Electronics, including 12V vacuum pumps, RF modules, and controllers, are covered by a 1-year limited warranty.
  • Tip finish is covered by a 1-year limited warranty.

"It’s always fun when you get a new toy, but when I traded my 991 GT3 in with IPE exhaust In for my 992 GT3, The factory exhaust left so much to be desired. I actually thought something was wrong with the car because of how quiet it was on the outside. When I bought the 991 it already had the exhaust installed and that’s what I thought This one would sound like. Doing some research I needed to make sure that I kept my original exhaust valves and a lot of people pointed to the valvetronic system. Ordered the system and I thought I would be waiting a couple weeks but it arrives to my house in three days. Install Only took about three hours and I got the car back right before the weekend. The sound is so much louder and much more exciting, really reminds me of my old 991. I just did the titanium rear section and kept the factory headers. What makes me really happy is with the valves closed. I can start the car in the morning and it doesn’t even sound like it has an exhaust on it. The old IPE system was really loud in the mornings and my wife wasn’t too happy but now she doesn’t complain because it doesn’t wake up when I start it. Can’t wait to see what this is like if I add some headers down the road. Very happy with the quality too. This is probably the prettiest exhaust I’ve ever seen lol."

Q&A

Will the valved system with race free flow headers throw a check engine light? Are the valves controlled with stock buttons still?
The valves use the stock button. And any free flow configuration will throw a CEL without a tune or spacers
Will I get the check engine light with the no valve system?

How much gain ho/tq did you get with the cat back vs the full system?
We have not dyno tested, but usually 10-20hp. The main benefit would be in the tuning post install
Good morning, I would like to ask you some questions. With the catback system only, is there any modification needed or is it pulg and play ? Map or somethig? Do you have any installation videos ? Thanks Jacopo
Hey Jacopo, A bunch of really good questions here. With the cat-back system the set up is designed to be plug-and play for the OEM valves. We highly recommend during the installation process to disconnect the battery fully and let the car de-energize so that there is no current flowing over the exhaust valve motors. The reason why is this could eliminate your need to have the valves recalibrated on the new system. Ultimately, you most likely will need to have the valves recalibrated, but this is not very challenging. One of the reasons we include our external exhaust valve controller is the factory exhaust valves due to regulations are not able to open fully with the push of the sports exhaust button. The valves stay closed up until about 5000 RPM. We include our external controller which allows you to bypass the OEM control and have full open and closed sound control at your fingertips giving better sound experience we recommend getting these valve plugs Soul performance and using our kit for the best experience. At this time we don't have any installation videos but we installed a lot of these and it's fairly simple. Just remove the factory exhaust and then reinstall the new exhaust system and it's components. Very simple and easy!
