As one of the world's favorite sports cars, the E46 M3 embodies everything we love about driving. Small dimensions, Manual transmission, and a naturally aspirated high revving engine. Even today, this recipe has not been topped. The troubling thing, the E46 M3 suffered from a very raspy and unsatisfying sound from the factory. Even the infamous E46 M3 CSL suffered from this issue. When combined with aftermarket headers or other aftermarket exhaust solutions, the sound remained buzzy and not enjoyable. For track prepped vehicles, many of them run a stock exhaust setup as the sound is not remedied by other exhaust systems. At Valvetronic Designs we love the engineering challenge of taking flawed sound characteristics and turning them into something extremely special. That is exactly what we have done with our E46 M3 Valved Section 3.

For a long time there has not been an ideal option for E46 M3 owners to have the valved exhaust experience. There are other companies that have produced valved systems, but sadly they are no longer available for purchase. We believe that every enthusiast should have the opportunity to enjoy that perfect sound experience. Our engineering has led us to craft the perfect sound solution to turn your E46 M3 from a raspy tin can, into one that is incredibly smooth and enjoyable throughout the entire reference. This rear section is designed to be combined with a set of free flow exhaust headers for extra volume and performance. Downstream it is best to leave the Stock section one and stock section 2. This does a great job of rasp reduction and gives that incredibly enjoyable high pitch sound when combined with the Valvetronic Designs valved sport section 3.

As one of our favorite small sports cars the E46 M3 deserves to have enjoyable sound characteristics to match the driving experience. At Valvetronic Designs we do not compromise, neither should you when it comes to ensuring your E46 M3 sounds as it always should have
